In today's society, certain groups of the population face a variety of barriers as they attempt to re-enter society after serving a jail sentence or recovering from a physically disabling event. Individuals in these groups often find it difficult to obtain employment and, in some instances, housing.
The reasons for these barriers are varied. Many employers are reluctant to hire ex-offenders due to concerns about their history or lack of work history; or disabled persons for similar reasons. The Federal Government has extended assistance in the form of legislation to prevent discriminatory hiring practices and allow a "Fair Chance" for individuals in certain target groups.
Freeman Services Group is dedicated to streamlining the process of connecting these individuals to the right Fair Chance employers in their local area as well as providing additional educational services as needed.
